Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), today announced that it would be adding support for iOS apps testing.
The device farm, which was launched earlier in the month, allows mobile app developers to test devices running Google’s Android OS or Amazon’s Fire OS.
Mobile developers will be able to test their apps on iOS apps starting Aug. 4. This OS is generally considered the most lucrative for mobile developers.
AWS executive Jeff Barr stated in a blog today that iOS support will allow you to test cross-platform titles and receive reports (including logs, screenshots, and performance data) that are consistent regardless of platform or test framework. You can use the same code to test Android, Fire OS, and iOS if you use a cross platform test framework like Appium or Calabash.
The device farm supports test automation frameworks such as Appium (Java JUnit, Java TestNG), Calabash, UI Automation, and XCTest.
Barr pointed out Device Farm documentation to assist developers get started.
